THE DESIGN PROCESS

Honey is the product of our first foray into typeface design. Type design is an intimidating world but with guidance we decided a display face would be an easier and fun entry point.

As this is our experimental entry into type design, we are releasing this demo as a free, open source font. It isn’t perfect, but neither are we… and we like that!

ABOUT THE FONT

Much like the honeysuckle flower, Honey has a striking appearance that alludes to its tubular shape before the flower blooms. Once bloomed the petals open to reveal soft curved petals and spike-like filaments. This typeface uses simple forms with experimentation in thick and thin points and unique approaches to how letterforms are drawn.

We recommend using Honey selectively and at larger sizes.
